Culture in the regions
On October 26 and 27, 2023, at the Université du Québec en Outaouais, a symposium was held focusing on the museum world, its practices and operations, and its multiple connections with collections, the public, geographical territory and politics. The aim of the symposium was to stimulate reflection on the modalities and practices of connections in the field of museums and museology. The symposium gave rise to stimulating exchanges on regionally specific museum practices. Julie Bérubé, head of the Axis, discussed the importance, positive spin-offs and challenges of culture in the regions.
