Since 2018, a unique collaboration has united the Théâtre du Nouveau Monde (TNM), Les Grands Ballets Canadiens (GBC) and the organization Autisme sans limites to offer young adults with autism a series of dance and theater workshops designed to foster their social inclusion, self-fulfillment and creativity. Inspired by the works programmed each season at TNM and GBC, these workshops enable participants to explore movement, scenic expression and group work, while developing skills linked to communication, emotional management and social interaction.
In winter 2024, the workshop cycle focused on Molière’s “Misanthrope”. On this occasion, the AgeTeQ laboratory and the Arts and Health axis of the CREAT research chair accompanied the group to document this artistic and human experience. The result is a documentary highlighting not only the creative process, but also the transformations experienced by the participants over the course of the sessions.
Broadcast in April 2025, to coincide with Autism Month in Quebec, the film invites the public to discover the richness of individual trajectories and the power of art as a lever for inclusion, expression and well-being
