By networking with various academic and professional circles, we identified June 2024 in Montreal as a period rich with activities related to digital creativity, such as the BIAN and its surrounding events.
To capitalize on this vibrant atmosphere, the CREAT Chair’s Digital Creativity Axis has chosen to organize a Festival, set to take place from May 31 to June 12, 2024. The term “festival” was selected for its convivial and playful connotations. In line with a multidisciplinary approach, openness, and accessibility, PRISE brings together several events aimed at diverse audiences, including the academic community, students, professionals, and the general public. Through its academic and cultural programming, the Festival has created compelling connections between artistic and academic disciplines, while also highlighting the potential of research-creation.
PRISE – Numeric Creativity Festival featured a game jam competition, a circus and digital performance, a symposium on art game, and a video game exhibition (with playable demos).
