DiscoverabilityAs part of the public consultation « encadrement législatif sur la découvrabilité́ des contenus culturels francophones » organized by the French Ministry of Culture and Communications, Axis 4 of the CREAT Chair submitted a joint brief with the Unesco Chair in Communication and Technologies for Development and the Quebec Research Chair in Artificial Intelligence and Francophone Digital.
The brief proposes concrete measures, such as:
- The creation of a Quebec observatory of discoverability to centralize and analyze data.
- The development of algorithms to promote cultural diversity and the visibility of local content.
- Quotas for French-language content on digital platforms and transparency requirements for recommendation algorithms.
