Journées de la culture 2026: Understanding cultural participation through audience experiences

During the 2026 Journées de la culture, data were collected at cultural activities attended by 720 people. Of these, 164 completed a questionnaire designed to better understand their experiences.

Analysis of the responses will help document participants’ experiences and inform discussions on methods for evaluating arts and cultural activities.

By connecting research with cultural practices and audiences’ lived experiences, this initiative contributes to a deeper understanding of cultural participation.
