New publications explore museum and ecological transitions

Several recent publications authored or co-edited by CREAT co-researcher Aude Porcedda shed light on current transformations in the cultural and museum sectors through the lenses of socio-ecological transition and the inclusion of the most vulnerable.

In issue 47 of the journal Culture & Musées, Aude Porcedda and Anne Gagnebien co-authored the article “Introduction. La transition socio-écologique comme champ de tensions, d’expérimentations et de controverses dans les organisations culturelles et muséales”.

This introduction highlights the debates, paradoxes, and emerging initiatives shaping the socio-ecological transition within cultural and museum organizations.

Rethinking the Responsibilities of Museums
This publication builds on several of Aude Porcedda’s recent works addressing museums’ ecological responsibility, universal accessibility, the habitability of cultural institutions, and the renewal of heritage narratives.

These works include:

> “Musée pour tous : regards croisés sur l’accessibilité universelle” (2025).
