S.T.ART-UP: An International project on artistic intelligence submitted to Horizon Europe
On September 22, 2026, the international Ai2C consortium, coordinated by Université de Montréal, submitted the S.T.ART-UP project under the Horizon Europe call dedicated to artistic intelligence. Bringing together twelve European and Canadian partner institutions, this proposal aims to explore how artistic experiences contribute to the development of human competencies.
The project focuses particularly on creativity, reflexivity, and the ability to navigate complex situations. Through several case studies involving artists, researchers, and cultural organizations, the consortium proposes to develop methods to better characterize and assess these competencies, as well as the conditions that support their use across different contexts.
The submission of this proposal marks an important step in developing international collaborations associated with CREAT’s Arts and Health research Axis.
