Laureline Chiapello presents her research at the CISC symposium in Toulouse
Professor and game designer Laureline Chiapello recently travelled to Toulouse to take part in the international colloquium Scénographies et couleurs : Arts, Audiovisuel, Cinéma et Design, organized by the LARA-SEPPIA laboratory. The colloquium brought together researchers and creators to discuss the aesthetic and symbolic issues of color in contemporary artistic practices.
Laureline Chiapello presented a paper entitled ” Scénographie et couleur dans le jeu vidéo CLTRS : réappropriation de la féminité en 3D”. In this paper, she explored the use of the color pink in a realistic video game environment, highlighting how this hue, often associated with gender stereotypes, can become a vehicle for critical and aesthetic reappropriation of femininity. Her research-creation approach highlights the expressive, narrative and political role of color in video games, particularly those with a feminist and experimental perspective.
