PERSÉIS Symposium
On November 18 and 19, 2025, the PERSÉIS Symposium — “Attirer et retenir les talents en région pour favoriser l’entrepreneuriat innovant au Québec” — was held.
Organized by Julie Bérubé (UQO), Maude Labrosse (DigiHub), Nathalie Lachapelle (TÉLUQ), and Naomie Allard (UQO), the event brought together researchers, entrepreneurs, practitioners, and students to explore the issues, challenges, and avenues for reflection related to the specific characteristics of innovative entrepreneurship in regional areas. A thematic session was notably devoted to artistic entrepreneurship in the regions.
The PERSÉIS Symposium brought together engaged voices and diverse expertise around a shared objective: fostering the growth of innovative and sustainable entrepreneurship at the heart of Quebec’s regions.
The event was held as part of the project “Attirer et retenir les talents en région pour favoriser l’entrepreneuriat innovant au Québec”, stemming from the PERSÉIS research-society initiative, supported by the Fonds de recherche du Québec (FRQ) and the Mouvement des accélérateurs d’innovation du Québec (MAIN).
The symposium received financial support from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC), as well as collaboration from Université TÉLUQ and the Université du Québec en Outaouais (UQO). The event was organized in partnership with DigiHub Shawinigan.
