Recherche(-)Creation CREAT Conference, May 21-22, 2026
On May 21 and 22, the CREAT will hold its next conference at École NAD-UQAC in Montreal, in collaboration with the Réseau Hexagram. This event will bring together researchers, artists, students, and partners from the academic and cultural sectors to explore contemporary issues in digital research-creation.
Over the course of two days filled with discussion and exchange, the conference will feature a diverse program of talks, roundtables, and performances examining the social transformations driven by digital creative practices. Topics will include health and well-being, self-narratives, territories and place-based practices, education, as well as collaborative and community dynamics.
The event will provide a unique opportunity to collectively reflect on current practices in research-creation, encourage interdisciplinary dialogue, and foster connections between artistic creation, technological innovation, and social engagement.
The first day of the conference will conclude with a convivial cocktail reception and the launch of the book Managing Projects in the Creative Industries, co-authored by Julie Bérubé, Laureline Chiapello, and Hélène Caron.
